  • Liz, I really enjoy the colors in your photos! The ones in the woods with the sun shining through makes me feel happy and at ease. It looks like you went out at the perfect time of day to catch the lighting at the right spots in woods and in the tree silhouette. The way the trees sprawl out across the pictures give an interesting point of view.

  • Liz, I’m really drawn to the photos of the fallen tree in the woods. The creative framing of the sunlight and the angles of all the branches work together to make a dynamic image. In one of your later photos, I love the contrast between the vibrant bands of the sunset and the off-center lamppost, which is much darker. The library ones are cool too — you found angles that show common spaces from perspectives that people don’t usually experience when they just go there to study.

  • Content–deer, sky, library, fallen and upright trees; you are exploring the shapes of objects and their visual implications–symbols, resonances (like the radial patterns in fallen tree & also light)

Composition–lovely framing of deer, sunset sky with lamp post or branches, low angles in library and forest, all make for unusual photos

Technique–you seem drawn by light and color and shape, as well as wildlife. all potentially rich subjects

Aesthetics–these come from your angle of view mostly, the unusual way you look at things, and where you are willing to place yourself (in awkward position_ to catch a unique viewpoint.
