  • Joe, your photo of the library is one of my favorites. I love the feeling that this photo conveys. The colors and lighting all work really well togetehr. I feel like I’m looking down a endless path of books. Each book tells a differents story. The focal point of the brick wall in the very back looks miles away from the start of the book shelves. This photo has many demisions. Really creative picture! Awesome work!

  • Joe, really great series of photos! I especially love the way my eyes are drawn in towards the end of the hall way (with the bookshelves). Great selection of leading lines there. I also like your creative approach to take a photo of something and take some behind the scenes shots. I think I took the assignment a bit too literally and I was glad to see that there are other ways to do it as you have shown. The shot with the books has a great depth of field. All around great job!

  • Content–tantalizing eggs (who would think?), lovely camera setting with fish bowl, interesting kitchen inversion photo, fine DOF with green book titles, a really fine range of appealing photos

    Composition-i love the play on the photo scene, with lights, camera in the scene as well; the simple and lovely fish bowl;

    Technique–terrific lighting on food, good DOF on green books, interesting focus choices in camera/bowl scenes (like foregrounding equipment out of focus with bowl in focus in background) like a secret view of a magic object.

    Aesthetics–lush, colorful, clear, many images suggest a narrative
