Assignment #5

So every ear my fraternity raises over 2,000 dollars for Bangor Rape Response service. We have a huge bon fire in the middle of the winter from 6pm to 6am in the hours that most rapes occur. On this rainy cold night in November we had one of the best turnouts for the Sleepout we have ever had. The first few photos are of when president Hunter came out to give a few words of encouragement and let us know how proud the university is of us for having one off the most profitable Philanthropy event on campus.

After president Hunter gave a quick speech the University of Maine women’s accepella group sang a few fun and uplifting songs for us. After that we were on for the challenge of staying up all night in the rain and cold because we said we would as people pledged money to us. It was one of the most successful Beta Sleepouts we have ever had raising just under 3,000 dollars for Bangor Rape Response.
